What to Wear to Work

Similar Sleeveless Blazer here, here and here | Dress c/o Lafayette 148 other Work Appropriate LBD’s here, here and here

My rebellious fashion spirit often rejects the idea of “workwear”. I kind of what to wear whatever I want, whenever I want. The truth is since work is such a huge part of my life, I can’t show up to everything in denim shorts – as magnificent as that may sound.

I’ve mentioned this before but because I’m not always – rarely actually…because I’m rarely in a traditional office setting with corporate dress codes but I might be hopping around to those sorts of places for meetings, finding ways to bend the rules to feel like myself can be a challenge.

Enter yet another LBD. Why? Because, perfect. This one is from Lafayette 148 and the v-neck, white side panels and fun oversized shape are very “me”. I added a thin black belt – not so much to cinch my waist but rather I like the contrast of the thin leather belt on the minimal style and it creates another thin line across the white in the dress. The sleeveless white blazer designed by one of my favs, Stephenie Zwicky from LeBlogdeBigBeauty just adds another layer of polish and cool. Minimal metallic flats are perfect for running around Manhattan.
