Bienvenidos a Miami

Miami is kind of the perfect place. It’s part tropical beach heaven, part Cuba and all of the non-roaming free cell service the good ole’ USA has to offer. I ditched the vile snow in NYC and spent this week running around helping team Global Soul Music, hanging out and drinking way too many mojitos.

Fun times.

It was kind of weird packing for warm weather because i haven’t quite wrapped my mind around what I want to look like for summer yet. What I do know, is that I’m obsessed with jewel prints. So I started there!

Just before leaving for Miami, I saw all of these stories in the news about there being a larger than normal amount of sharks in Florida waters and that there were a bunch of warnings issued. Luckily this is the closest I got to any sea creatures that might actually eat you.

Despite the killer sharks taking over, I did make it to the beach for a walk and to catch the sun rise, it was incredible!

I put out an SOS for a local photog and the lovely Elisabeth from Curvy Exchange hooked me up with the amazing Alejandro! Thank you so much to Elisabeth, Alex and Edwin for the love! All photos above by Alex Castro Jr.

Other things I loves about the trip: the company, many mojitos and of course the city.
