When a housekeeping fail gets you upgraded to a bitchin’ suite.
Whether you’re traveling to Philly for a weekend getaway or in the mood for a little staycation, the Monaco in Old City is going to be a great stay. I was in town a few weeks ago with Catherines and we needed something centrally located – close to Old City and to Center City. Both luxurious and approachable, this Kimpton property served us well. The staff is friendly the rooms both kitsch and cool and the a-joined restaurant was delish!
My first night was in a King park view room, which was lovely but after returning from a long day – housekeeping somehow missed my room. The staff at the reception desk was amazing and immediately made good by providing me with a new room. The suite was spectacular for the price. An enormous bathroom with an equally impressive tub. The extra large window facing Independence Mall made for a pretty fabulous night time bath. For pricing and availability check here.
