This week has flown by. My ever growing need to float around a pool with a floppy hat lathered in sunscreen and a drink in my hand has had me on Expedia about 25 times this week. Time to make that vaycay happen. In the mean time, I’m meandering around the city thinking deep important thoughts like – What will I want to wear this fall? I’m feeling very back to basics at the moment. Here’s white and black and nude. That’s all.

  1. I love you and Gabi! I went through major depression after I graduated from school and couldn't find a job in my field. I put on 70 lbs with a year, and then refused to leave the house. I didn't want to be seen. I seriously felt so ashamed of myself, in every aspect of my life.

Anyhow, one day, when I *had* to go out, I decided I needed to buy something to wear. I started looking for inspiration, and found your and Gabi's sites. Then, I kind of made it my daily routine to check you guys out. Gradually, I started to realize, there was nothing to be ashamed of, especially not regarding my looks.

I've started exercising and watchiing what I eat, and have lost 20 lbs of the 60 I gained, but better than that, is regardless of the weight I'm at, I feel good! Like, really good. I feel like I rock. I feel my skin looks awesome, and I love my shape.

Obviously, it was a number of other factors that helped me change my perspective (I finally got a job! lol), but you and her definitely contributed greatly. I haven't feel so positive about my life in ages. I cannot thank you two enough for that.

  2. thanks so much for sharing Renee! I'm so glad you fund us and you inspired me so much with your story. xoxo

I feel you on searching expedia. I need to go somewhere and lay out on a beach pronto. I hope I can get somewhere soon because the struggle is real with it comes to needing a change of pace.

Caftans are the Real MVP of Quarantine Fashion

Though I live near many a beach and have traveled pretty extensively (pre Covid) this caftan just became the one I reached for just to putter around the house. It’s bright and cheery but also a total mumu and so you’re basically naked but can answer the door for UPS without violating anyone, ha!
