The Midi Skirt, a Source of Happiness

My birthday is in 9 days, obnoxious countdown begins.

Coat: Z for Zenobia via Saks Fifth Avenue, Top: Cynthia Rowley, ASOS Curve Midi Skirt w Pleats,  Sunglasses: DITA,

Bag: Vintage courtesy of Mommy, Hat: Zara, Lipstick: FACE Stockholm “Beloved”

This post has nothing to do with my birthday, I just like talking about it. Moving on…There might be no greater gift to fashion than the midi skirt. Ok, that’s a broad sweeping statement but like, I really love them! I’m obsessed with this pleated version from ASOS Curve. The sheer hem is just so sexy and it’s really easy to dress up or down.

I’m also quite the fan of a bit of a differing kind of color play these days. Traditionally I love mashing prints and contrast colors, even mixing light neutrals. But, lately I’ve taken to mixing dark neutrals. It’s so subtle and chic. Eggplant and black…try it, it’s fuuun.
