I love the idea of a shirt dress. Most of the shirt dresses I own however are t-shirt dresses rather than the button front variety. Once again, ASOS Curve saves my life offering really current pieces that are virtually impossible to find in plus sizes.
Yes, there are shirt dresses…there are even a few military inspired pieces but from what I’ve found, plus size shirt dresses tend to be a bit more Charlotte York (p.s. it’s kind of scary that a Sex in the City reference makes you jog your memory but it’s impossible for me not to see Kristin Davis pouting about an imperfect floral arrangement when I think of shirt dresses). You know the one, fit and flare, ribbon tie waist – blah blah.
This one, this one is cool! Oversized military pockets, pale gray (or black), the back hem dips just a bit which makes it super wearable on 5’10 frame and the side slits, pow! Happiness.
