{how to} Maximizing Maxis

Itching to wear a piece in your wardrobe but the weather isn’t cooperating? Why wait? Transitional dressing can be a bit daunting…and dressing for the high temperature of the day usually leaves you freezing in the shade//walking only on the sunny side of the street.

I love, love, love this dress from Rachel Pally and instead of waiting for the warm glow of  summer, I’m maximizing this maxi by topping it with a spring jacket.

PS…Maybe I’ve been overexposed to my shrine I mean tumblr page loaded with images of Mary Kate and Ashley but I’m also obsessed with flowy layers at the moment.

Perpetua Maxi c/o Rachel Pally, Jacket: Jessica London (2012, similar spring jacket here), Sandals: Steve Madden (old), Necklace: Boohoo, Bracelet: Vintage (similar gem cuffs here, here and here)

I love the dress, I still haven't be able to find a good Maxi yet. So many are unforgiving on my thighs like you can see right through the material. The search continues.

  3. This is my favorite outfit on you, I absolutely love it, can I get a dress like that from somewhere?

  4. I love the dress but my biggest problem is to find something that looks good around me it is way to long for me

Balancing Act

Fashion Week is in full swing and though we are only a few days in, there’s one sentiment that echoes throughout the city…”My feet hurt!”

Try a Trench Coat

The possibility of light sprinkles on a crisp fall day seems so much less daunting if you get to wear an amazing trench coat!   Trench
