{ootd} Black and White Stripes

Happy Monday. So, Beyonce’ won the Super Bowl yesterday! Social media was ablaze with hilarious commentary. That was about as much as I participated this year.

Anyhoo…we are seeing black and white stripes everywhere and thank God for that! I’m obsessed. Since stripes are such a big trend for the coming season, I’m sure more plus companies will be jumping on the band wagon but when I was desperate for striped pieces last year I scored this skirt and a blouse from Domino Dollhouse. Unfortunately the blouse doesn’t fit properly. The neck is much too big but I’m hoping I can get that fixed or sort out how to wear it.

I’ve worn this skirt before on the blog in summer and here’s how I’ve remixed it for winter!

TIP: If you have big curly hair, take a few bobby pins and pin down the hair on the crown of your head so that your hat stays in place and your fluffy hair isn’t pushing the hat up/off.

  1. I love this outfit! You look gorgeous!

I wanted that coat so much but it never landed on Simply Be Euro site! So frustrating!

  2. If you're having the coat tailored, you could do a v-neck. I love the colors of the bag with the coat. The outfit looks fabulous!

  3. Voluptuous Vixen

This is a great outfit; the combination of the tweed and the stripes is very nice. The pops of burgundy, the green in the jacket and the leather sleeves, they all compliment each other so very well.

  4. Hello Kellie,

I am absolutely in love with your jacket and your shoes! The jacket is stunning – I love the mixed fabrics – and the shoes are so romantic!

Great outfit! Beetlejuice stripes are going to be in fashion in a big way this S/S 2013! X

  5. OMG this such a beautiful look on you. I am in love with everything; hat, jacket, purse, skirt, shoes and make up. JUST FREAKIN' BEAUTIFUL!!

Here’s another look from the weekend. Remember when it was just about summer 24 hours ago in NYC? Ahh, the memories. I’m married to all
