This is a seriously “make it work” post…
It’s funny, life has been so busy that I’ve had little time to take as many blog photos as I like. I’ve been dying to do it, blogging has become such a big part of my creative outlets. But as I sit here thinking about what I want to say, my head is just like “ummm, I just really love my jacket”.
So – I’ll start there. A thrift find that I have worn just about everyday since I got it, I can’t put it down. It was SO ratty looking. Dirty and lots of lint but I saw the potential and knew 2 runs in my mom’s mega washing machine, a little lint busting et’ viola! It’s like new 🙂
The cropped “galactic silver” top is from ASOS (the straight size section – I can’t stress enough how many amazing pieces you can find that will fit even if you’re not a 14/16). I bought it about 6 months ago the back of it has amazing cutouts and draping…I’ll have to show you that another time.
My skirt is one of my favs from 17 Sundays. It was formerly the laser cut leather skirt and I took the laser cut hem off of the bottom of the skirt and will be re-purposing it. So now, it’s just a super cute skater skirt with some sass and flounce.
Each of these pieces I’ve had to make work for me and I love them all!

I've tried to make an outfit like that work before and I just CAN'T seem to pull it off! You make it look so cool and effortless. Think it's time to drag my motorcycle boots out of the closet and give it another go.
I'm very much living for that skirt, miss. It's the kind of thing I'd end up wearing every weekend.
