(outfit of the day) White Dress, Red Lips

I know, my post title isn’t super creative but sometimes you just have to tell it straight. I love this dress beyond words. Since the end of summer I have been lusting after the idea of a white dress paired with all black and finally I found the perfect white dress with lace no less!

Bonus, I’ve already thought of a bunch of different ways to wear it…excited. You’ve seen this leather jacket quite a few times, I probably own 10 different leather jackets and this one is turning out to be rather useful. It works with so many things! A new a addition has recently come into my life, I’ll share the deets on that one soon!

Tip:

I think it’s really important to stand your fashion ground. Often we chubettes settle for something we don’t love because certain pieces are hard to find. I saw a bunch of white dresses in the last few months but non of them spoke to me them WAM, one I truly love. Sometimes patience is your best fashion friend. Take a little time and find what you love, don’t settle just to get something quickly! You’ll end up with a wardrobe filled with pieces that don’t excite you…

  1. you're very right about settling. that's why i think i hate my closet so much right now! you really do have to wait for pieces that speak to you and not just get things because they come in your size.

  2. Perfect dress and an interesting monochrome look. Monochrome is so often overly dark, I love the white dress in this look. Also, boot jealousy.

I completely agree that when you're plus size you often settle for the first version of something you see because you're scared no one will sell it again in your size. I think waiting can work out very well. I am also trying to only buy things I fall in love with from now on otherwise my closet will just be full of half hearted clothes.

  3. That dress is amazing on you! I love the lace shoulders and the flare skirt is one of my favorite silhouettes. I totally agree with you that patience is a must when it comes to shopping. You have to trust your instincts and definitely trust the mirror. If you don't love it in the store, chances are you won't end up loving it when you get home either. <3
