Bandeau a Go

I bought this bandeau top last year and honestly completely forgot about it! I got this one and another just like it in a denim fabric…how could I forget?! When I was emptying out my closets pulling things for Shop&Swap I happened across this stripped bandeau and it was like EUREKA!

Instantly I knew that I wanted to wear it with this high low skirt that I recently purchased from Alloy. (Don’t sleep on Alloy guys…I always score fun pieces that I never see on other people from that site!) So…this is how I wore it!

Side note: I think a lot of girls/women think that only “curvy” girls or those on the smaller side of plus can be adventurous with fashion or look amazing in unconventional pieces. We aren’t all a size 12/14 nor do we all have an hour glass figure but, we can all grab fashion by the balls and say you belong to me too! (just a thought…)

Here’s what I’m wearing:

Bandeau – Torrid

Skirt – Alloy

Leather studded bracelet – (similar here LUXE or LESS)

Shoes – Ciao Bella

Bag – Jessica Simpson

  1. Cuteness!

I have been eyeing a couple things on Alloy lately, the Kimmy Chevron dress actually. I might have suck up the shipping costs to Canada, and give it a whirl. 🙂 BTW your new braids look killer up like that.

  2. I think, if done with intent, it can be pulled off. Like, what you have on is hot, and I would be like DAAAAMN THAT'S HOT, if I saw you. But sometimes, I see people looking a hot mess, and it just does not work. Their clothes are too small or something.

    1. And I Get Dressed

I agree Zag, some think that fashion is putting on every single random thing you own without rhyme or reason, I don't exactly agree with that. Or that wearing ill fitting pieces is ok, I'm not saying if you are a 20 shove yourself into a 10 that is clearly too small. It's about making things work for you. I wouldn't wear this top and tiny shorts together a'la Nasty Gal images which I love. But I would wear this top and short shorts individually.

  3. Gorgeous outfit. I've been thinking about strapless tops for awhile, I think I might try one out when it gets a bit warmer here. You gotta be daring when it comes to fashion. 😉

The high low skirt and top are really working together. You look so good. 🙂
