Wardrobe Staples

Everyone agrees that the traditional wardrobe staples are things like a great crisp white button down shirt or an LBD but these are a few of my must haves this season that are really versatile staples.

1. A denim shirt – I wear mine open as a sort of faux jacket or as show below and it works with nearly everything!

2. A pleated midi skirt – I’m really in love with the midi length it’s not “new” but it has certainly made its way to staple status.

3. A brightly colored bag – I used to be one of those bunches of black bags people but now I’m addicted to candy colored bags.

Here’s what I’m wearing:

Denim shirt – OneStopPlus

Skirt – Avenue (similar here)

Shoes – Christian Siriano for Payless (get them here)

Necklace – Kenneth Jay Lane (similar and less pricey version here)

Bag – Rebecca Minkoff (similar here, here and here)

Watch – Burberry

Go Straight (Not plus size, no problem)

I also am really falling in love with the midi-skirt trend! I just bought that same skirt you're wearing, and the black one (I think they are both still available), and I am just having the damndest time trying to figure out how to style them. I like the way that you've paired the brown with denim, Kelli! I absolutely LOVE the hair. I've been thinking of super-long braids myself, but just can't sit still for that long. You're looking great!
