A Swing Dress

Wardrobe remix time! Often times, we can get caught up in always to wear new pieces but I love remixing pieces on the blog to show either unexpected versatility in statement pieces like this Plaid Longline Jacket or to talk about a workhorse piece that gets a ton of wear!

Plaid Longline Jacket: ASOS Curve, Swing Dress: ASOS Curve, Clutch: Mimi Turner, Moto Boots: Report via Nordstrom Rack, Lipstick: FACE Stockholm “Beloved”

I bought this swing dress about a month or so ago and have worn it so much that I’m thinking I need it in black as well. You know how much I love a “shift” dress but the swing is quickly becoming a fav! What’s the difference? A shift dress is basically an all over shapeless sack. A swing dress is more fitted throughout your shoulders and bust then swings out in more of a bell shape.

This dress has taken me through those summer like early fall days, looking really great with a statement  necklace and my New Balance sneakers to piling on jewelry and pairing it with great shoes. Now it’s the perfect layering piece under coats I can even add additional layers as it gets cooler. This is definitely one short sleeve dress that you don’t have to pack away until next summer.

Balancing Act

Fashion Week is in full swing and though we are only a few days in, there’s one sentiment that echoes throughout the city…”My feet hurt!”

MY CURRENT FASHION RUT

For the first time in a really long time, I’ve been in a fashion rut. Granted, a global pandemic which trapped us all in the house isn’t the most inspiring time but it’s a little more than that. Not much has been speaking to me, calling me name and making me want to empty my pockets.

Bare Legs in Black and White

Pressing my luck with bare legs as we alternate between snow storms and a 50+ degree winter in NYC…  Moto Jacket | Dress | Booties
