Color, So Much Color

What a beautiful day in the neighborhood (skips, then trips)…

Sweater: Lane Bryant, Pleated Floral Midi Skirt: c/o ASOS Curve, Necklace and Earrings: Bauble Bar, PS1 Satchel: Proenza Schouler (similar here and here!), Snake skin flats c/o BarefootTess.com, Lips: Nars: Penny Arcade

I’m on full lean with this spring thing eh? Ahh, I can’t help it. I’m in a colorful mood. My fashion mood changes with the wind so who knows what’s next but for now it’s cheery! Today is my man’s birthday, very excited for the festivities I have planned!

So many fun things to look forward to – My little sister is graduating with her masters degree in about a week, I couldn’t be more proud of the incredible woman she’s turned out to be. I’m also looking toward summer travel with the family and hopefully a few trips with friends.

As for this oh so bright midi from ASOS Curve, I chose to dress it down for a work day but this is also one of those great for spring/summer weddings pieces!

Just a heads up, I’m 5’10 barefoot and the skirt about an inch longer than I’d normally like but it’s still so pretty I’m going to leave it as is. If you’re a shortie, it might be a bit maxi’ish.

Style Tip: If you have a piece you like but it’s not perfect, make it work for you! I wear this sweater backwards. Just clipped the tag (along the stitches) and turn it around. Why? Most often, I like a higher neckline and I thought the open weave and slight dip at the neckline look much cooler in the back!

The one thing you’d think would be allowed at a fashion show…pictures. Day 2 of NYFW was much  less insane for me than Day 1.
