There once was a time when you could leave the house in a cashmere sweater, jeans and a coat. Not swaddled head to toe with only the smallest break in fabric for you to actually see where you’re going. There once was a time when the temperate reached well into the double digits and news anchors didn’t spend all day telling you that you’ll die if you do much more than go in and out of the subway or a cab and directly inside. Those were the days.
On one such day, I wore this. I’ve been dying for white coat when I spotted this gem on SimplyBe.com. Admitedly it’s a bit more thin than I excepted but I was indeed warm on the day that I wore it. I snapped these pics over holiday in Philly in my old neighborhood. Not the one I grew up in but the one I choose when I moved out of my parents house at the ripe old age of 17 for school. I must say, I do miss it from time to time. It’s a charming combination of the West Village and Soho. But hey…there’s no place like NYC.
