(outfit of the day) Cream, Spice and Everything Nice

Long oversized coats are definitely winning in my wardrobe but add to that – designer 1980’s, leather cuffs and leather panels on the back, be still my beating heart.

This coat…this coat guys, is my own personal happiness. I discovered this baby during my whirlwind thrift mania (yes, I named the adventure and plan on repeating it) during Thanksgiving weekend in Philly. I can’t stress enough – as so many of you have asked me, thrifting and vintage shopping is 100% possible for plus size chicks.

It’s funny when you’re racing to get dressed, you have a vision in mind and when thumbing through your closet you stumble upon exactly what you’d envisioned! Glad I found this spice colored sack dress to pair with the coat. Love when that happens.

Coat: Vintage, Dress: ASOS Curve(2010), Shoes: Christian Siriano for Payless, Earrings: Wendy Nichol via Barney’s NY

PS this coat is a size 12. Try things on.
